I have used J&H Reconditioning since I arrived at Illinois State University in 2009 and I could not be more pleased with the level of service that I receive year in and year out. Even when our secondary vendor stopped using them, I continue to send our helmets to J&H. I am always satisfied with the work they do and the handling of our helmets to and from their facility.
J&H’s entire organization is professionally run by a top rate group of employees who go above and beyond to ensure that I receive the exact services that I have requested, and I’m very particular about how I want our helmets reconditioned. They do an excellent job of keeping me informed throughout the entire process and communicate with me often to guarantee that my specifications are met.
J&H is always available to my institution even outside of our traditional reconditioning period to provide service to us. I have had to have helmets painted, as I prefer their paint over others, during the season and they have been more than accommodating to get those done quickly and correctly for us.
My level of respect for J&H grew even more this year when I contacted Christi around the New Year holiday to obtain paint to touch-up our helmets before the DI FCS National Championship game. Christi and her staff worked quickly to set us up with a paint product and an individual who could explain the entire process to us so that our headgear looked great during the game.
I have no issue recommending J&H to other equipment managers. When I hear equipment mangers that are dissatisfied with their current vendor, I am eager to recommend that they switch to J&H because in all of the years working with Christi and her staff I only have good stories to tell.
